Let’s take a look back at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games when French sprinter Marie-José Pérec set a new Olympic record in Women’s 400m. With a time of 48.25 seconds, Pérec beat the previous Olympic record set by Soviet Olha Bryzhina in 1988 (48.65).
