Climate change is warming the Arctic twice as fast as the rest of the planet, putting increasing pressure on Greenland’s ice sheet, a group of scientists warned on Thursday.
The melting of the ice sheet and glacier mass loss resulting from climate change’s effects has become one of the largest contributors to rising sea levels since 2000, researchers have said.
Al Jazeera’s Nick Clark travelled to a glacier to see first-hand the effects of climate change and speak to scientists studying the changes.
