Despite Australia’s “extraordinarily lucky” position on COVID-19 in comparison to 12 months ago, we haven’t been able to “move the conversation or the response” forward, according to 6PR’s Oliver Peterson.
His comments come after Greater Brisbane was plunged into a three-day snap lockdown after four locally acquired cases were reported.
“I think everybody has a personal threshold when it comes to this, or their own personal stories, and they’re impacted by it and it just seems to be a rotating carousel at the moment,” Mr Peterson told Sky News host Peter Gleeson.
“We haven’t been able to move the conversation or the response any further forward where we’re in such a better position 12 months on”.
“That’s what I think is where a lot of the frustration comes from.”
