Queensland recorded a new local coronavirus infection overnight on Friday, QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk confirmed on Friday.

The state’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Jeannette Young said it was too early to establish genomic testing, but said he had not been overseas in recent weeks.

‘The most important thing is that, everyone, we’re not out of this pandemic. It is so important that if you have any symptoms at all, come forward and get tested like this man has done,’ she said.
