St Vincent’s incident response and disaster manager Danielle Austin says they will be establishing pop-up clinics this week across the state of NSW for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

Ms Austin also urged the wider community to get vaccinated for those who have yet to receive the vaccine and if they have any concerns, to go and reach out to a health specialist who could provide information.

“So, for everyone out there who hasn’t been vaccinated, I cannot ask you strongly enough to, please, reach out to your primary healthcare provider and have discussions if you have concerns about vaccination,” Ms Austin said in a media conference on Monday.

“If you are having difficulty accessing a COVID vaccination for yourself or somebody you love, please contact Health Direct so we can find you out there in the community and provide you with the protection that you deserve.

“My final comment is please get vaccinated, please be part of the solution, and please help end this pandemic as quickly as possible.”
